Hosting on Airbnb can be an extremely rewarding experience with a score of benefits. You’re able to meet travelers from every corner of the world and act as the narrator of your city’s story, all while supplementing or replacing your income!
But being an Airbnb host is no walk in the park…and some days you might feel more like a professional maid than a guide for your neighborhood. Of course, you want to offer a clean, hotel-like experience for your guests. But unlike a hotel, you don’t have a full-time housekeeping staff ready to turn over your listing in between reservations.

Robust Cleaning
Your listing should be free of clutter, dirt and debris. Make sure the floors in the bedrooms, bathrooms and common areas are vacuumed and mopped. The bathroom should be sanitized with special attention paid to removal of hair from the sink, toilet, shower and floor. Any opened food or beverages from prior guests should be removed from the fridge.
Fresh Linens
Guests will spend the majority of their stay in your listing sleeping, so it’s very important that they feel comfortable. Preparation should include freshly washed sheets, pillowcases and towels.
Pro Tip: Using white sheets and towels makes guests feel confident that they are sleeping in and using fresh, clean linens.
Ample Clothing Storage
Make sure your guests have room to unpack their suitcase and store their garments. This should include drawers for folded items and hanging space for more delicate items, like suits and dresses.
Personalized Extras
Going above and beyond to prepare for your guest can truly make their visit memorable. Some hosts leave a special note, others a city tour guide; whatever you choose…make it personal.

This is awesome! I love the Airbnb cleaning plan.
While using a service is definitely a valid option, I’ve had some friends that were super disappointed in them (not Handy, though). The problem is that the same person doesn’t come every time, and so they have no chance to get familiar with your place and how things should be presented. This leads to inconsistencies in how you like your place to be cleaned, where furniture belongs, how arrival materials are presented, and the overall feel and energy of the place for your guests.

How would changing linens and towels be handled? Would I need to provide fresh linens each service?
Yes I suggest you supply clean towels and bed linens for every guest.

There are lots of cleaning companies but people want to hire only that companies which provide them perfect cleaning services. so to get popularity every cleaning company want to know all needs of people and try to get efficiency in those activities. the given information can prove very useful for cleaning company owners to know that what type of cleaning services are liked by people.
Handy offers a great deal on the first cleaning, but after that they gouge you at over $100 each cleaning and that doesn’t include laundry. They also have a different cleaner almost every time so they get lost and then leave and you are stuck without a clean house and guests checking in without a clean house 🙁 Honestly it was a terrible experience, they wouldn’t even send someone back to the house to clean before the guests arrived 4 hours later. Does anyone else have any other lower cost cleaning options outside of handy?
With big cleaning companies you have more chance to get things complicated about their services. As a former Host for five years in London, UK I get this feedback from my recent clients. I do services for Airbnb hosts from cleaning. shopping, check-in to managing their properties and liaising with guests. The key word is Personal touch.
I have the keys, I have the schedule. Turn up and do my best. I know where things are, when stuff used up, making a shopping list, fill up selves, arranging laundry, etc.
On the other hand it’s good to have an option to connect if need.

Put the information in your host profile, create a website, join local hosting Meetup groups and Facebook groups as well. But do not solicit other hosts through Airbnb messaging–Trust & Safety doesn’t like that and could ban you from the platform.
